    6. Take 1 tsp cardamom powder

    Chickpea flour is made from dry chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans. A similar flour made from yellow gram lentils, which are split chickpeas is called gram flour. Split chickpea flour is called Besan in Hindi. You will find both of these commonly referred to as Chickpea flour.


    Instructions

    Instructions to make Besan/chickpea flour burfi:

    1. Take besan in a pan, add 1/4 cup of ghee,fry this ghee mixed besan on a low flame, keep stirring continuously,
    2. It takes 20 to 25 minutes to besan to get good aroma and change it's colour to light brown
    3. Take out from the flame add milk powder and cardamom powder, mix well and keep aside
    4. To make sugar syrup take 1/2 cup of sugar in a pan add 1/4 cup of water
    5. On medium flame keep stirring untill syrup gets one string consistency
    6. Pour this sugar syrup to besan mixture..mix well, shift this mixture to greased tray, sprinkle some almond shreadings on the top, press slightly..
    7. Cut in to square pieces and arrange, your soft delicious burfi is ready to serve & get compliments..
