    1. Get 1 litre Milk
    2. Make ready 4 tbsp Semolina (sujji)
    3. Get 1 tbsp Sugar
    4. Get 300 gms Condensed Milk
    5. Make ready 25 Almonds (chopped)
    6. Take 25 Cashewnuts (chopped)
    7. Make ready 3/4 th tsp Cardamom Powder
    8. Prepare 3-4 strands Saffron

    Firni Is made from ground rice, whereas Rice kheer is made from whole rice. Fine grained basmati rice is the rice preferred to make phirni and rice kheer. Phirni is traditonally served in small earthern bowls. This firni recipe is something that everyone should try at least once.


    Instructions

    Steps to make Kashmiri Firni:

    1. Boil milk.
    2. Soak semolina in milk for an hour. Add it to the boiled milk.. Mix well and cook for 10 mins under medium flame.
    3. Add sugar and cook till raw smell disappears.. This may take 4 mins.
    4. Soak almonds in warm water for 10 mins to easily remove the skin. Remove their skin and chop. Add almonds.
    5. Chop cashew nuts and add it and mix it well.
    6. Add cardamom powder and mix it.
    7. Add saffron and mix.
    8. Add condensed milk. Mix it. Condensed milk gives good taste to firni.Cook for a minute under high flame. Reduce the flame and cook for 5 mins.
    9. The Firni is ready to serve.. Garnish it with saffron, almonds and cashewnuts…
