Make ready 1 cup Cashewnuts
Make ready 1 cup Badam
Make ready 2-2 1/2 cup sugar
Make ready 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
Take 4-5 tbsp Ghee
Take few saffron /kesar Strings soaked in hot water

Instructions to make Kaju Badam Barfi:
Soak cashew nuts and badam in hot water for 1hour.
Peel off the skin of badam.In a mixer grind the badam adding little water to a coarse paste. Then grind the cashew to coarse paste.
In a thick Kadai add 3 tbsp ghee. After ghee melts add the grinded paste to the Kadai.
Now add the sugar to the above paste. Add cardamom powder and soaked kesar/ saffron Strings. Keep stirring it continuously on medium low flame.
Stir it till the mixture turns into burfi consistency. Here add remaining ghee. It may take 30 to 35 minutes.
Then pour the mixture on a greased plate. After 5 to 10 minutes with the help of knife cut it into pieces and then allow it to cool.
After 2 to 3 hours remove it and store it in a container.
Delicious kaju badam barfi is ready to eat.
